24-25 April 2024, Valmiera, Latvia and online
The Latvian Academy of Culture invites artists, arts managers and entrepreneurs, cultural professionals, researchers, educators, students, cultural policy-makers and anyone interested to join the collaborative interactive seminar hosted in partnership with the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts “Kr. Sarafov”. The seminar is taking place as part of the Horizon Europe IN SITU project that supports the work of creative and cultural industries in non-urban areas of Europe.
Six collaborative sessions will be held in Valmiera Museum, Latvia and online (via Zoom), starting in the morning of Wednesday 24 April and throughout Thursday 25 April 2024.
They are designed to empower participants in driving change, securing funding, mastering cooperation and networking in non-urban areas. The sessions’ topics range from exploring the power of storytelling, sharing practices of social entrepreneurship and sustainable models in non-urban areas through developing EU funding strategies and fostering strategic cooperation and networking in non-urban areas.
You can join the six sessions below (or some of them upon your choice) online or in person. The time zone is Eastern European Time (EET):
- Session 1: 24 April (9:30 – 11:00) Mastering Audience Engagement: The Power of Storytelling (with Ema Konstantinova, NATFIZ)
- Session 2: 24 April (11:30 – 13:00) Story as an Experience: Choosing the Right Medium and Crafting Interactivity (with Elizabete Palasiosa, LKA/Story Hub)
- Session 3: 25 April (9:30 – 11:00) Empowering Change: Social Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Models in Non-urban Areas (with Ieva Zemite, LKA and Lidia Varbanova, NATFIZ)
- Session 4: 25 April (11:30 – 13:00) Successful EU Funding Applications and Diversifying Revenue Streams: Tips and lessons learned (with Lidia Varbanova)
- Session 5: 25 April (14:00 – 15.30) Fostering Strategic Cooperation in Non-urban Areas: International and Local Practices (with Lidia Varbanova and local guest)
- Session 6: 25 April (16:00 – 17.30) Mastering the Art of Networking: Tips for Building Relationships Locally and Internationally (with Ilona Asare, LKA and local guest)
