The University of the Azores (UAc) invites artists, arts managers and entrepreneurs, cultural professionals, researchers, educators, students, cultural policy-makers and anyone interested to join the collaborative interactive workshops and an open conference. This will happen on 3-4 July 2024 in Ponta Delgada, Portugal, and is hosted in partnership with the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts “Kr. Sarafov” (NATFIZ).
Bifröst University will host a dynamic two-day workshop tailored for entrepreneurs, artists, cultural managers, educators, students, and all community members eager to elevate their storytelling skills and amplify the impact of their enterprises. Set against the stunning backdrop of Borgarnes, West Iceland, this transformative event will take place on May 30th and 31st, and is organised in collaboration with the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts “Kr. Sarafov.”
Based on a mixed-methods design of desktop research, document analysis, interviews, focus groups, and site visits, the report State of Cultural Policies for CCIs in Non-urban Areas, developed within the IN SITU project, presents and discusses findings from an analysis of the diverse field of policy concepts, contexts, organisations and (decision-making) structures relating to culture in the EU.
Most technological innovations are produced in an urban setting, but rural or non-urban areas are very often fertile ground for other types of innovation, such as organizational, social or institutional ones. The report, State of Policies and S3s on Innovation and CCIs in Non-urban Areas, produced within the IN SITU project, examined the extent to which cultural and creative work has been supported through the main policies in the EU innovation framework for non-urban areas. The Latvian Academy of Culture invites artists, arts managers and entrepreneurs, cultural professionals, researchers, educators, students, cultural policy-makers and anyone interested to join the collaborative interactive seminar hosted in partnership with the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts “Kr. Sarafov”. The seminar is taking place on 24-25 April 2024, as part of the Horizon Europe IN SITU project that supports the work of creative and cultural industries in non-urban areas of Europe.
